Conference App & Hashtag
We encourage everyone to download the Conference App. Use event hashtags #ProsperityStartsWithPlace and #PurposeBuiltCS on Social Media to share information, ideas, and thoughts during the conference.
Hotel Accommodations
If you reserved a room at the Sheraton Birmingham or Westin Birmingham, you should have received an email confirmation from the hotel. If you have not received an email confirmation, please contact the hotel directly.
Please contact the hotel directly if you are unable to make your scheduled check-in date or need to cancel your trip. Hotels will typically cancel the entire reservation if you do not check-in on the expected date. Additionally, they will charge one night’s room and tax to the credit card on file for a no show.
Hotel Check in/Check out
Check-in time is 4:00 PM and Check-out is 11:00 AM for both the Sheraton and Westin Birmingham Hotels. If you are arriving on Tuesday, 4/23 prior to being able to check-in, please contact the bell captain’s desk to arrange your luggage being held until your room is ready.
For those departing on Thursday, April 25, we recommend checking out prior to the opening session at 9:00 AM. The bell captain’s desk can hold your bags until you depart.
Hotel Parking
Daily Parking: $29 (self) | $39 (valet). On-Site: 4 hours and under- $20, Overnight Self-Parking- $29. Valet: 4 hours and under- $20, Overnight- $39.
Transportation
Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport is located about 5 miles from the hotel. There are various transportation options available including the following:
Uber/Lyft - Uber and Lyft may pick up passengers at the Airport’s Arrivals/Lower-Level terminal curbside
Taxi - Taxi service from the airport is available 24/7, with cabs located on the ground level directly outside the baggage claim area
Shuttle Buses - Limousine and shuttle services operate by reservation only. To make arrangements for a shuttle or limousine service, please click here for a list of the companies prior to your arrival at the airport.

On Wednesday, when you return from the Woodlawn Neighborhood Tour and Block Party, you will have the opportunity to experience “The Dinner Table of the South”. On this night you will be able to enjoy delicious Birmingham cuisine. Be sure to check out this list of restaurants and make your dinner reservations soon!

Check In / Badge Retrieval
The Sheraton Birmingham Hotel is the conference hotel. All meetings and sessions will take place at the Sheraton and the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC).
Upon arriving at the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel, head to Registration located on the lobby level in the pre-function space (follow signs from the lobby to the Birmingham Ballroom). The registration desk will open on Tuesday, April 23 at 9:00 AM. We recommend checking-in and picking up your conference materials as soon as possible.
Access to Events
Keep your name badge with you at all times. You will need your name badge to enter sessions and all conference events and meals.
Things To Do In Birmingham
If you will be arriving in Birmingham prior to the start of the conference or staying a day or two after the conference, we highly recommend visiting the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, a cultural and educational research center that promotes a comprehensive understanding for the significance of civil rights developments in Birmingham. Walk/Jog/Run (Optional)
Bring your walking shoes and join us on Wednesday, April 24 for an early morning, walk, jog or run! Meet us in the lobby at 6:00 AM and get some exercise while meeting fellow attendees and enjoying the beautiful scenery of City Walk Birmingham.
