In recent years, there has been an increased understanding of the historic and modern-day economic challenges experienced by people and communities of color around the country. Today, though, many community development organizations find themselves at a crossroads: the need to review and reconsider approaches while remaining steadfast in their values and commitments. Kindred Futures, ThirdSpace Action Lab, and Russell: A Place of Promise - three organizations with complementary but uniquely different approaches will share insights and strategies for staying the course and affirming people and place during a shifting cultural and political tide.
