Cassandra Webb is an advocate for Black youth and their families, influencing local and national projects focused on designing safe, healthy, and hopeful communities for them to thrive. As Interim Co-Executive Director of Russell: A Place of Promise and Cities United Director of the Place of Promise Initiative, she leads efforts in community wealth-building and investment without displacement in the historically Black neighborhood of Russell, in Louisville, KY. Connecting community organizing principles with arts and storytelling, leadership development, and shared learning, she facilitates spaces for residents, artists, entrepreneurs, and other leaders to honor their history and work collectively to build the future they want. Her work has been recognized by Leadership Louisville, Louisville Business First, Kentucky Performing Arts, Next City, and the Campaign for Black Male Achievement. Cassandra holds a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Louisville and serves on the board of the Center for Nonprofit Excellence.
