Sustaining impactful health initiatives in community settings requires a collaborative approach that actively engages a range of stakeholders, cultivates an understanding of local needs, and leverages collective expertise. This session will identify strategies for strengthening cross-sector partnerships and advancing community health programming.
Drawing from the perspectives of community partners, funders, and others, attendees will gain insight into sustainment approaches that integrate co-creation, knowledge exchange, and cultivating a shared sense of investment in developing sustainable, community-driven programming that maintains its impact after grant funding has ended.
This session will spotlight the work between SDSU and faith-based organizations in co-creating sustainable community health programs. This partnership model blends research and evidence with religious entities to effectively reach and engage populations that have faced barriers to accessing health programming.
