Purpose Built Communities has demonstrated the promise of the Purpose Built model in neighborhoods across America. This conference is an opportunity to learn best practices to making the model work, convene with folks who are dedicated to revitalizing neighborhoods, and be inspired to continue on our collective mission to transform every neighborhood into a pathway to opportunity and prosperity for the people who call it home.

We suggest comfortable shoes — you’ll be doing a lot of walking from your hotel room to the conference space, from session to session, and during a tour of the Gulfton and Sharpstown neighborhood in Houston. Business casual dress is what most attendees opt for, but we also recommend that you dress in layers as the conference rooms can get chilly. Also, be sure to check the weather before making the trip to Houston, since we will be outside for the neighborhood tour.

All attendees at the Conference and networking events must be registered attendees who purchased tickets.

Tickets should be purchased in advance of the event through the link on the website. We accept all credit cards.

Cancellations will be accepted until April 18, 2025. To receive a refund less a cancellation fee of 20%, you must submit a written notice of cancellation. Notification must be received no later than April 18, 2025 via email to conference@purposebuiltcommunities.org. After April 18, 2025, no refunds will be made. However, a substitution may be submitted for review.

You may send a substitute in your place at any time. All such requests must be submitted by email to the 2025 Prosperity Starts With Place^TM National Conference Team at conference@purposebuiltcommunities.org. Only requests made by the original registrant will be honored.

This event has a limited quantity of tickets available and they are offered on a first come, first served basis. If there are any tickets left, they will be sold on-site. For the best chances of getting a spot at all the events you’d like to attend, register online in advance to secure your place!

Once you register online, your confirmation email confirms your ticket. You’ll receive an email with your registration instructions and event details.

Purpose Built Communities has secured discounted group rates at the Royal Sonesta. There will be a conference app for the 2025 Prosperity Starts With Place^TM National Conference. The app allows you to view and update your agenda, network with other attendees, receive important notifications, and more. We recommend using the app for an optimal conference experience. The conference will explore strategies to advance the four pillars of the Purpose Built Model: mixed-income housing, education, community wellness, and economic vitality. Attendees will engage in conversations about the expanding field we all contribute to, hear inspiring keynote speeches, and participate in discussions on sustaining strong, neighborhood-based Community Quarterback organizations.

We will be recording all events, so we request that attendees refrain from taking video. There are no restrictions on photo taking, except to consider courtesy and appropriate timing.
