Gerald is a New York based tax partner/principal in EY’s Financial Service Office with over 23 years of tax experience with EY. He is EY’s private equity (PE) tax technical leader. Gerald also serves as EY’s US tax reform leader for PE and alternative asset management, and is EY’s East regional tax co-leader for PE market board and PE Energy Fund Center of Excellence.

He has served PE fund, alternative asset management, and corporate clients in the transaction and tax space in New York, London, and Hong Kong.

Gerald serves as tax engagement partner and global tax account leader on several global PE funds, energy funds, mezzanine debt funds, and fund of fund clients in areas including: US tax reporting and compliance, M&A and corporate tax advisory, partnership and flow-through tax advisory, international and domestic tax structuring, tax due diligence, and tax modelling of cash tax and tax attributes (e.g., E&P, tax basis, NOL limitations, etc.)
