Terence Rozier-Byrd is a partner in the investment management practice group at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. Terence represents private fund sponsors in connection with the formation and ongoing operation of private funds across a wide range of alternative investment asset classes, including private equity, growth equity, real estate, fund of funds, hedge, and hybrid funds.
In addition, Terence advises institutional investors, including sovereign wealth funds, public and private pension plans, endowments, and family offices, in connection with their investments in, and co-investments alongside, various private funds. He also offers valuable guidance to investors in negotiating funds-of-one and managed accounts tailored to meet their specific investment objectives.
Furthermore, Terence has significant experience representing both fund sponsors and institutional investors in primary venture capital and growth equity investments, direct venture capital secondary transactions, as well as secondary transactions involving interests in private funds.
Terence has been recognized by The Legal 500 US, Diversity Journal and Minority Corporate Counsel. He also serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board at Boston University School of Law, and on the Investor Advisory Council at Alumni Ventures Group.
