Carmen Carrillo is a Principal Data and Research Analyst (PDRA) with the County of San Diego’s Office of Evaluation, Performance, and Analytics (OEPA). She leads mixed-method evaluations that inform public safety initiatives such as Alternatives to Incarceration and Gun Violence prevention. She extends her passion for teaching by developing and facilitating program evaluation training that standardizes practices and builds capacity across the County. In partnership with the Office of Equity and Racial Justice (OERJ), she is participating in the year-long Government Alliance on Race and Equity’s Jurisdiction Racial Equity Evaluation Program (GARE-JELE), a national initiative advancing racial equity through the development of an evaluation equity framework. Before joining the County, Carmen worked with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and at UCLA. A proud Dodgers fan! She holds two master’s degrees in public health (MHS) and psychology/neuroscience (MA) and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH).
