Rachel has lived in San Diego for 20 years and previously worked for Steer, a UK based urban design firm, before joining SANDAG’s Public Affairs team. Rachel supports the agency’s work towards reducing traffic deaths, known as “Vision Zero”. She also leads outreach for the SANDAG Bike Program that designs and builds bikeways around the region. She is originally from Colorado and grew up in China. She believes that access to safe, affordable, and sustainable transportation is a human right and hopes to see the day this is a reality for everyone in the San Diego Region.
