Israel is the Associate Director for Advocacy and Community Engagement at AARP San Diego. With a diverse background in military service, human services, and psychology, he brings a unique perspective to his role. A former Marine Intelligence Specialist, Israel earned a BS in Health Communication from SDSU and an MA in Psychology & Human Behavior from National University. He managed homes for adults with developmental disabilities and mental illnesses, and led the Orange County Family Housing Agency. Committed to enhancing the human experience, Israel enjoys lifelong learning, nature, music, writing, and volunteering for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
