With more than 25 years of experience providing project management services by creating and implementing strategies that directly impact feasibility and usability of IT services. Rob Winslow is an Information Technology Manager with the County of San Diego. As an Information Technology Manager, Rob is responsible for ensuring Technology is an enabler, an integral tool, and key to meeting the County of San Diego’s mission. Rob assists the County’s operations with extensive experience leading cross-functional teams through definition, development, and deployment of applications. His knowledge in project management enables him to operate tactically while targeting strategic initiatives. He is responsible for developing innovative solutions that solve business issues, engage the community and reduce IT costs. Early on in his career with the County, he’s credited with building out one of the first browser enabled Geographic Information Systems (GIS). More recently, he’s either led or assisted in many large projects, including digitizing entire file rooms for public and staff access, Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems, lobby management systems and case management systems and deploying a dynamic engagement platform for public participation. Rob received his Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from California State University, Long Beach. He started his career with the City of Huntington Beach Public Works Department as a GIS Technician for the City’s first GIS system before taking a position with the County of San Diego as a GIS Analyst. He promoted to managing GIS and Information Technology within a department, and finally Information Technology Manager. Rob holds professional certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) Enterprise Content Management Professional (ECMp) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
