With over 33 years of experience in the planning, management and delivery of social and
human services, Ms. Jiménez serves as the Community Operations Officer for the County
of San Diego, Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA), Department of Homeless
Solutions and Equitable Communities (HSEC). This department focuses on addressing
homelessness, economic equality, and health equity countywide. HSEC is comprised of
three offices: the Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs, the Office of Homeless
Solutions, and the Office of Equitable Communities. The three offices work together within
the department and across the entire County enterprise to achieve better coordination of
existing and new County homeless and equitable community efforts and serves as a
central point of collaboration for outside partners to ensure equity among all San Diegans
and reduce homelessness in the region.
Ms. Jiménez is passionate about serving and working closely with communities. Ms.
Jiménez is a board member for the Regional Task Force on Homelessness Regional
Continuum of Care Council. In addition, she actively supports the collaborative Regional
Community Leadership Teams in all six HHSA regions across the County. Since 2016,
she has led the implementation of the Baldrige-based Communities of Excellence
Framework to augment community collaborative decision-making, drive meaningful
impact, and improve community outcomes. Ms. Jiménez is bilingual and has extensive
experience working on border and binational health issues. She co-chairs the Border
Health Consortium of the California’s, a binational coalition that brings together health
leaders from California and Baja California to address public health concerns and
opportunities for collaboration in the border region. She is also on the advisory board for
the California Department of Public Health’s Office of Binational Border Health. Previously
she served as the County of San Diego’s HHSA Director for Regional Operations for 10
years in which she led over 1,300 employees and managed operations for Public Health
Clinics, Child Welfare Services, Community Health Promotion and Public Eligibility in the
Central & South Regions.
