Trent Legare is passionate about improving healthcare access and outcomes for all individuals. Particularly those who have been historically marginalized and is committed to advancing health equity and social justice. As the Director of Mobile Health and a leader on Atrium Health’s Community and Social Impact team, he focuses on creating access points to care and providing social resources to underserved communities in the Atrium’s Greater Charlotte and Winston-Salem markets. As a part of these efforts, he leverages relationships across the community to ensure that the broader community is engaged in building solutions that impacts their care.
Trent received his undergraduate degree in Public Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He graduated with a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC
Trent is actively involved in the community and chairs the Board of Directors for Renaissance West Community Initiative and is a member on the United Way of Central Carolinas - Unite Charlotte Grant Committee amongst other roles.
During his career at Atrium, he has served in multiple leadership roles including operational director for system population health efforts, clinical service line management, and as an internal consultant deploying operational strategies across the enterprise. Prior to joining Atrium Health, Mr. Legare practiced several years as a healthcare consultant at a national firm where he advised health systems on organizational strategy and business operations improvement.
