Regina Hall, MS, MPA is a bold, aspirational, and creative leader who has dedicated her professional career to public service.
Previously working in local and federal government, her portfolio includes directing a justice-involved work experience program, coordinating an Urban Food Policy Council, and shepherding initiatives focused on community development, hunger awareness, and recreation services in lower-wealth communities. These experiences have steeped her in community engagement at both the institutional and individual levels. Hall transitioned to nonprofit management in 2019 when she became the Executive Director of Boston-Thurmond United (BTU).
Her goal is to develop innovative strategies to combat intergenerational poverty at the neighborhood level through education, housing, and community wellness. Her unique career experiences have taught her to respect the power of data and the individual lives and life experiences that data represents. She is currently focused on producing equitable birth outcomes in the 27105 zip code of Winston-Salem, North Carolina that will reduce and stop the deaths of black women and children who currently die at twice the rate of white women and children.
Hall is a native of Winston-Salem and a graduate of East Carolina University, where she majored in communications. She has a master’s degree in psychology from Virginia State University and a master’s in public administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is married to DeWayne. Together they are simply "mom and dad" to their daughter, Morgan.
