Michelle has dedicated her career to ensuring every individual has the opportunity to reach their full potential. As the President and CEO of United Way of Northeast Florida, she established of a focus on generational poverty and successfully secured a million-dollar donation to launch a focused initiative on racial equity. Her leadership help secure the largest gift in the organization’s history – a remarkable $20 million donation from MacKenzie Scott.

Prior to her role at United Way, Michelle served as Wells Fargo’s Community Development Manager for Florida. In this capacity, she coordinated resources and partners to ensure the bank served all of Florida’s diverse communities, with a particular emphasis on low- and moderate-income individuals and families.

Her tenure at Wells Fargo followed her role as Wachovia's Community Relations Executive and as Bank of America’s Director of the Florida Foundation. She has also held leadership positions at nonprofit agencies across the country.

Michelle holds a bachelor's degree in Business and Philosophy from The University of Notre Dame, where she was a part of the inaugural women's varsity soccer team. After a year of service teaching high school in the South Bronx, she earned a master's degree in Nonprofit Management from The Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.

Michelle is currently consulting for nonprofit organizations and serves on the board of directors for Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), the Generation Wow Advisory Board, and as the Board Chair of LIFT JAX – an initiative uniting business and community leaders to combat generational poverty in Jacksonville. She led the county-wide JCCI mental health inquiry, is a proud member of Leadership Jacksonville's class of 2017, and has been recognized as a Women of Influence by the Jacksonville Business Journal.

Michelle is married to Paul, her artist husband, and they have two children Quinn and Shea.
