Speaker Bio

Iveanette Santiago Rivera, AIA, NOMA, is an Associate Principal at Mithun, an interdisciplinary collaborative of designers, with offices in Seattle, WA, San Francisco and Los Angeles, CA. With over 18 years of experience and a passion for affordable housing, she manages and brings technical and design leadership to a wide range of project types, including mixed-use, multi-unit residential and student housing. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she draws inspiration from her culture's principles and values, including family and building community. Iveanette has a deep commitment to community voices and approaches her work with the belief that architectural design can be an agent to improve the well-being of all communities. She believes in the power of mentorship as she spends a portion of her time mentoring young people to engage in our profession. Iveanette holds a BS. Arch in Environmental Science - School of Architecture from the University of Puerto Rico and an M. Arch in Architecture from the Rhode School of Design.
