Craig Aquart is a Managing Principal of MCHarry Associates, a Miami-based architectural firm with a 68-year legacy of professional practice. He has more than 28 years of experience as a registered architect and is widely recognized for his leadership in community engagement and professional service. Mr. Aquart is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of architects. He has led the Architects in the Making (AIM) Program for nearly two decades, guiding middle and high school students as they explore architecture as a career. In 2016, he founded Black Architects in the Making (BAM) in response to the profession’s persistent lack of diversity; the program has since reached thousands of students nationwide. He has served in key leadership roles, including President of the South Florida Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects in 2020 and President of AIA Miami in 2022. Mr. Aquart is licensed to practice architecture in Florida, Georgia, and Texas and is an active member of AIA, NOMA, the Construction Specifications Institute, and Dade Heritage Trust. His work has earned numerous peer-recognized awards honoring his leadership, professional service, and community impact.
