Prior to co-founding Knox Lane, Shamik was a Partner with TPG Growth, where he served as Services sector lead and played a pivotal role in sourcing, executing, and driving numerous growth-oriented investments. Shamik was also a founding member of TPG’s firm-wide Diversity & Inclusion Council. Prior to TPG, Shamik was with Veritas Capital in New York, where he focused on technology-enabled and outsourced services investments. Prior to Veritas, he worked in the M&A group of Credit Suisse in New York. Shamik received an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Palmer Scholar, and holds a B.B.A. with Highest Honors from the University of Texas at Austin.

He currently sits on the Boards of Fingerpaint, Any Hour, and Ruppert.

Outside of work, he loves food and trying new restaurants, sports, and spending time with his family.
