Susan Kirshner, Founder and Principal, Words + Numbers
Ms. Kirshner founded Words Plus Numbers, LLC in 2019 to provide institutional-quality marketing materials for small to midsized asset managers. Her passion is creating high-impact print and digital materials that differentiate her clients and create a powerful first impression.
Ms. Kirshner has extensive experience with alternative investments and derivatives, assuming roles at the crossroads of finance, marketing and technology. Prior to launching her own firm, she was Head of Marketing at GCM Grosvenor. During her 10-year tenure, she led the production of thousands of fund-related deliverables, including pitch books, RFPs and data. Before joining GCM Grosvenor, Ms. Kirshner worked in the derivatives industry at Wolverine Trading, Arthur Andersen, Bank of Montreal and Dean Witter Reynolds, in roles that variously included marketing, software development and research. She began her career at the First National Bank of Chicago.
Ms. Kirshner received her Bachelor of Science with honors in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
