Samuel L. Ross, MD, MS, is retired Chief Community Health Officer of Bon Secours Mercy Health, where he managed a vast network of community outreach programs impacting social determinants of health such as housing, education, job skills, behavioral health, substance abuse and rehabilitation.
Dr. Ross is the current board chair for SSM Health and Mercy Housing, and a board member for Healthcare Anchor Network. He previously served as Board Chair of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond’s Baltimore branch. He was the 2021 recipient of the Sr. Carol Keehan Award from the Catholic Health Association.
He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center Medical School in San Antonio, Texas, and a Master of Science in Medical Management degree from the University of Texas at Dallas in Richardson, Texas.
