Pilar currently serves as a Climate Justice Analyst at the Harris County Office of Sustainability. She leads stakeholder engagement and research to support the development of Harris County’s first Climate Justice Plan. In this role, she ensures that marginalized communities are actively involved in shaping climate policy. Before this, Pilar worked as an Ecological Monitoring Crew Lead for the Bureau of Land Management in New Mexico, where she played a key role in bridging communication between federal agencies and local communities. A passionate critical ecologist, Pilar combines her commitment to environmental stewardship with her dedication to social justice, always striving to create an equitable and just transition for a sustainable future through public service.
