Juan Diego was born in Ecuador and immigrated to New York City with his parents in the early 90s in pursuit of educational and economic opportunities. Their journey reflects the experiences of many of MEDA’s clients. For the past 20 years, Juan Diego has served communities in various roles, including community organizing, financial coaching, and affordable housing development.

As MEDA’s National Partnerships Director, he shares the organization’s place-based frameworks with partners across the United States. His personal connection to this work fuels his passion for strengthening nonprofits that uplift communities, helping them drive financial stability and economic mobility.
