Mike Davis is an alumnus of The Broad Residency in Urban Education and is a member of the Leadership Atlanta Class of 2025. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Purpose Built Schools Atlanta. Prior to his current role, Davis was the Chief Impact Officer and interim Chief Operating Officer for Sheltering Arms, an early childhood education organization operating 13 sites in the Atlanta metro area with 500+ employees, a $27M operating budget, serving 2000+ families each year. He also serves on the Reinvestment Fund Board of Directors, a Philadelphia-based CDFI with 70+ employees, $53M in revenue and $1.2B in assets. Previously, Davis served as Chief of Staff for Fulton County Schools. Prior to his appointment, he held various leadership positions with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS), including special assistant to the superintendent, where he provided counsel on education policy and national education reform initiatives. Before joining CMS, Davis was a recruitment director with Teach For America. He began his professional career with SmithKline Beecham as a pharmaceutical consultant. He is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law and Morehouse College.
