Alison is co-founder of Upside Collaboration Company, a community shared ownership model and digital platform. Upside is committed to providing tools for communities to receive and democratically manage direct financial benefit from real estate assets in their backyards. Prior to Upside, Alison was head of Google-affiliated Sidewalk Labs' urban development group. She joined Sidewalk Labs after thirteen years with The Hudson Companies Inc, where she served as principal, co-founded a construction company and worked closely with the affiliated property management business. As Hudson principal, Alison was fluent in all aspects of the firm and its development/management of over 4,000 units of housing for New York City residents in all five boroughs. Today, Alison serves as a board director for the Osborne Association and advisor to several private real estate firms.
