Fatma Saleem is Program Director for the San Diego Refugee Communities Coalition, where she leads the Afghan Refugee Support Program and supports 12 grassroots organizations advancing equity, belonging, and well-being for refugee and immigrant communities. Her leadership centers on coalition building, community voice, and culturally responsive programming. Fatma previously contributed to COVID-19 response efforts through CalHOPE and served with UWEAST, mentoring youth and managing impactful programs. A former educator and Oxford-affiliated professor, she holds a B.S. in Biology from UC San Diego and is CELTA-certified. Fatma is committed to trust-building and community-led solutions that drive meaningful change.
