My name is Aronn Peterson and I am a Community Schools Coordinator with the SDCOE Student Support Services Whole Community Child and Community Design division as the new Community Schools Coordinator!

Prior to joining this amazing team, I had the opportunity to lead the implementation of community schools strategies in two states. My journey began in 2017 as a Community Schools Manager in Madison, Wisconsin. Most recently, I worked with the San Diego Unified School District, where I led the launch and growth of community schools from our first school to 25 schools in just three years.

My career in education also includes teaching employment and financial literacy to middle and high school students, with a focus on supporting underserved youth. Giving back to the community is a passion of mine and has driven my career and continues to inspire my work today.

I recently moved to San Diego with my family and we have been enjoying walks on the beach, hiking, exploring Southern California, and eating some amazing food (Lobster tacos from TopSail are a favorite of my kids)! In my spare time, I enjoy coaching my kids' sports teams, cooking, and playing chess.
