Alan Berube is Senior Vice President at the Policy & Innovation Center, where he leads programs and operations, and engages key stakeholders in San Diego and beyond. A nationally recognized expert on cities and metro areas, he spent over two decades at Brookings Metro, serving in senior roles and authoring numerous publications on urban policy, economic trends, and federal programs. He has partnered with leaders in cities across the U.S. Alan previously worked at the U.S. Treasury and the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. He holds degrees from Stanford and Georgetown and lives in Washington, D.C.
