Matthew Parr is Director of the Office of Economic Development and Government Affairs for the County of San Diego. He leads the County’s legislative program, small business and economic development strategy, arts and culture initiatives, Grants Office, and binational affairs. Matthew advances the County’s priorities in Washington, D.C. and Sacramento, securing legislation and funding to protect the environment, expand health services, and support vulnerable populations. Previously he served as Deputy Director of Strategy and Intergovernmental Affairs and as a legislative advisor to a former County Supervisor. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of San Diego and is a credentialed County Senior Executive.
