Dr. Tessa Tinkler is an applied researcher with over 15 years’ experience conducting mixed-methods evaluation in K–12 and nonprofit settings. She collaborates with educators, community partners, and funders to tailor impact measures to diverse programs. Before joining the University of San Diego, she spent eight years with the City Heights Educational Collaborative—a university–school partnership advancing college and career readiness for low-income youth. Tinkler’s passion is leveraging evidence to dismantle social inequities. Her recent projects examine informal and mobile learning environments, effective teacher recruitment, and school-based health and wellness initiatives. She champions data-driven decision making and equity in educational practice.
