At the San Diego Housing Commission, Jon Rios guides strategic direction with a person-centered approach that promotes access to resources and opportunities for self-sufficiency. Previously, he spent 21 years as a nonprofit leader. His work has focused on empowering marginalized families to achieve social, economic, and environmental justice and drive meaningful and measurable change. Jon has dedicated his career to positively impacting quality of life for youth and families in the community. Born in Mexico, Jon immigrated with his family and grew up in the San Diego Promise Zone, in Logan Heights. He earned a BA in Sociology from UCSD.
