Dr. Karen Boyd is a researcher, strategist, and author focused on the ethical and effective use of AI in public sector and nonprofit settings. She has an MBA from the Rady School at UCSD and a PhD from the School of Information at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her peer-reviewed work focuses on the ethics of building AI, AI in the workplace, and the future of work. Her book, "Amplify Good Work: Ethical, Effective AI in Mission-Driven Work" is a practical guide for nonprofit and government professionals navigating the AI landscape and is scheduled for release in September 2025.
