Description

Join the County of San Diego Office of Emergency Services (OES) for an interactive session about strengthening disaster preparedness and resilience across our region through partnership and collaboration.

As the County’s central hub for emergency coordination, OES recognizes that true resilience starts at the community level. Community-based organizations (CBOs) and faith-based organizations (FBOs) are trusted, frontline leaders that can play a critical role in helping our communities prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters.

This session will introduce OES’s new Community Outreach & Engagement Strategy, a regional roadmap shaped by community input and rooted in FEMA’s Whole Community Approach. The strategy emphasizes inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive preparedness efforts and outlines how OES is partnering with organizations across sectors, like LiveWell, 2-1-1 San Diego, VOAD, and others to expand our reach into communities across the region.

Why You Should Attend:

  • Connect to the County’s growing CBO/FBO disaster network.
  • Explore training, planning and partnership opportunities with other community leaders and government partners.
  • Discover tools and resources to amplify disaster preparedness messaging within your networks and communities.

By working together, we can create stronger, more disaster resilient communities. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect, collaborate, and contribute to the future of emergency preparedness in our region.
