Description

Elev8 Schools, a virtual workplace with 200 staff members, has built a trauma-resilient culture not just for its students, but for the people who make the work possible. In the past three years, using accredited Trauma-Resilient Educational Communities (TREC) principles, student enrollment has doubled, but staff retention and job satisfaction remain high. This session explores how the core principles of trauma-informed practice can transform workplaces into spaces where adults feel safe, supported, valued, and empowered to do meaningful work. Elev8 Leaders will share how systems and habits around their organizational values of GRIT: growth mindset, relationships, inspiration, and teamwork have reduced stress, fostered a culture of collaboration, and promoted resilience among staff. Participants will leave with tools to promote emotional wellness, strengthen team dynamics, and increase employee satisfaction, regardless of their professional setting. Whether you're a leader, a teammate, or someone seeking to create more human-centered spaces, you'll walk away inspired to build a workplace where people don’t just survive, but truly thrive.
