My name is Gabriela Jimenez, and I am deeply passionate about making a positive impact on youth. I was born and raised in Oceanside, California, with roots in Michoacán and Oaxaca, Mexico. Currently, I serve as the Program Supervisor at Vista Community Clinic's Health Education Resources and Outreach (HERO) Department, where I focus on youth development. Additionally, I am a Teaching Artist at Oceanside Theatre Company, where I encourage creativity and self-expression among young participants spanning from 1st to 12th grade.I also serve as a commissioner for the City of Oceanside’s parks and recreation commission. I hold Associate Degrees in Sociology and Liberal Arts from MiraCosta College, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from UC Berkeley. I believe in the transformative power of education, mentorship, and the arts in building stronger, more inclusive communities.
