Alex Tardy has diverse climate and weather experience at 6 locations at Weather Forecast Offices (WFO) within NOAA National Weather Service during the past 30 years of service, including unique roles as a manager at Corpus Christi Texas (Science Operations Officer) and now in San Diego (Warning Coordination Meteorologist). Living in California has shifted expertise into climate and fire weather including drought, post wildfire and heat health impacts.

Alex graduated with an atmospheric science degree from State University New York at Albany in 1992. Alex grew up in Vermont and lived there for 25 years where his parents still reside.
