Jim Crittenden has over 30 years’ experience in the field of substance use and mis-use prevention. The last 24 years have been with the San Diego County Office of Education. Jim is currently the Coordinator of Alcohol, Tobacco, and other Drug Prevention. Jim assists School Districts in the development of comprehensive drug prevention plans that include prevention, intervention, treatment and youth engagement. Jim successfully manages several Tobacco Use Prevention Education grants throughout the county that ensure students receive the support they need to avoid or reduce tobacco use, including vaping. Jim also manages a contract with the County of San Diego to implement research validated substance use prevention curriculum in local districts and schools.
