Speaker Bio
Nathan was raised in sunny San Diego, California. His passion for creativity and education led him to pursue a BA in Industrial Arts from San Francisco State University. Eager to further his impact on education, he went on to earn a master's degree in Educational Leadership from CSU Northridge.

Nathan's career in education began as a Behavior Therapist and Play Facilitator, where he spent four years at a Non-Public Agency in Los Angeles and Ventura counties, working closely with students with special needs. His dedication to education extended to teaching Wood Shop and Computers for three years at Apollo High School an alternative education school within the Simi Valley Unified School District.

Seeking to return to his roots, Nathan moved back to San Diego County and joined the Escondido Union High School District. For eight years, he taught Wood Shop at Escondido High School, imparting practical skills and fostering community among his students. Recognizing the importance of connecting with students and supporting them as they navigate education, Nathan transitioned into the Safety Outreach for Students program, where he serves the entire district, ensuring a safe learning environment for all.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Nathan enjoys spending time outdoors and tries to spend as much time as he can with his family. He is committed to making a positive difference in his community, believing strongly in the transformative power of education and hands-on learning experiences for students of all backgrounds.
