Yvonne is the Project Manager at the San Diego State University Social Policy Institute (SPI), leading the HOPE University project. In addition to this role, she actively supports Wellness System initiatives at SPI, contributing to the Integrated Core Practice Model (ICPM) training, conducting CQI data analysis, and providing administrative support.
Before joining SPI, Yvonne worked as a Protective Services Worker for the County of San Diego, serving as both a child abuse/neglect investigator and case manager. Driven by a passion for Child Welfare system improvement, she earned a Masters’ degree in macro practice Social Work.
Grounded in her education and experience, Yvonne brings a person-centered, strengths-based, and equity-focused approach to her work. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from San Diego State University and her Masters’ degree from Boston University.
