Description

High school students are navigating a critical period of their lives where understanding and supporting their mental health is essential for their overall well-being and success. Youth behavior is deeply intertwined with mental health, as emotional struggles often manifest in their actions and interactions. Student-led mental health clubs empower students to take active roles in their own and their peers' mental wellness, creating a sense of community and belonging. Through shared experiences and peer support, students can openly discuss their challenges, reducing stigma and promoting healthier coping strategies. Over the past year, Bring Change to Mind, a national mental health nonprofit, has implemented mental health clubs across 40+ high schools in San Diego County. Join to learn from students' firsthand experiences in implementing their peer-led mental health clubs and discover practical strategies for supporting such initiatives in your own educational environment.
