Description

Join us as we delve into key findings from our analysis of census data and focus groups with nonprofit leaders. Discuss the critical role of community collaboration in supporting Latino/as on their path to wealth generation. See how this data is already helping decision-makers support the community.

Despite notable strengths for Latino/a San Diegans, such as higher educational attainment, they face challenges like higher gaps in income and homeownership than in other counties. Our study, commissioned by the San Diego Foundation, explores the unique barriers and opportunities faced by over one million Latino/a residents; 35% of the county's population.

We will also cover recommendations for supporting Latino/a-serving nonprofits. These include flexible funding, space for collaboration and community, and accessible data to inform their programs. We emphasize the importance of nonprofits building partnerships and trust within the community for their services to be effective.
