Description
Rural communities in San Diego County face unique challenges in preparedness for health crises and natural disasters. Limited access to resources and information exacerbates these vulnerabilities. This program addresses these gaps by leveraging the San Diego County Library as a trusted information hub, partnering with San Diego County Fire and American Red Cross. By providing targeted education and resources on disaster preparedness, the program enhances community resilience, reaches underserved populations, and improves the cost-effectiveness of existing services through collaborative efforts and shared resources.
