Anne Bird is an Associate Clinical Professor and a board-certified Pediatrician, Child Psychiatrist and Adult Psychiatrist, having completed her Triple Board Residency training at Mount Sinai in New York City.
Dr. Bird has worked in various leadership roles across the mental health systems of care in New York. From 2016 to 2020 Dr. Bird served as the Medical Director of the UC San Diego Health Outpatient Psychiatry Services where she helped grow and develop programs focused on access, quality improvement and clinician wellness. In 2019 Dr. Bird graduated from the California Health Care Foundation leadership fellowship - a program aimed to help mold future healthcare leaders across California.
In January 2021 Dr. Bird joined Rady Children’s Hospital as the new Medical Program Director of Mental Health Integration, part of the Rady Children’s Transforming Mental Health initiative. She is committed to helping build a network of integrated pediatric mental health services, with the focus on improving access, early identification, and holistic whole-child care. Throughout these various experiences Dr. Bird has held a strong interest in training and educating the future mental health workforce, as well as collaborating with and supporting her medical pediatric colleagues.
