Inspired to create her community a healthier environment by addressing public health issues that affect youth and BIPOC communities, Maguely Hernandez strives to empower and amplify the voices of San Diego youth through education. Maguely obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology at California State University of San Marcos, while earning two minors in Communication and Women Studies.

Maguely is a Health Educator at Vista Community Clinic – where she co-developed a youth-centered program – equipping and empowering communities to have multigenerational, cross-cultural conversations about sexual and domestic violence.
