Alejandro Tamayo serves as the Identification and Recruitment Manager for the San Diego County Office of Education’s Migrant Education Program. In this role, Alejandro’s Areas of focus included the recruitment of migrant families and building partnerships and for the Migrant Education Program. Alejandro also organizes, collaborates and facilitates parent meetings from San Ysidro to Orange County with an emphasis on topics that families are in need of to ensure success. Furthermore, Alejandro works with his colleagues to bridge the educational gap to ensure that all migratory children reach challenging academic standards and graduate with a high school diploma (or complete a HSED) that prepares them for responsible citizenship, further learning, and productive employment.
