Description

One of the Department of Purchasing and Contracting's (DPC) goals is to enhance community engagement in the procurement process, especially to appropriately consider and reflect community needs and cultural competency. In collaboration with the Health and Human Services Agency and other County Departments, DPC supports alignment with the County's values and vision for a more equitable future.

This workshop will highlight future changes to solicitations and our process to ensure equitable opportunities to participate in contracting and to incorporate input from the community members and stakeholders for community-based service programs, especially from those with lived experience who would be utilizing services. These efforts are an important element of DPC's commitment to helping the San Diego region thrive through community engagement, creating full and open competition for the County's contracting opportunities, and strengthening support to local economic development.
