Kristoffer Kelly - San Diego Seniors Community Foundation
The San Diego Seniors Community Foundation (SDSCF) will present our 2022 San Diego Master Plan for Senior Centers. By 2030, San Diego County will be home to 930,000 people over the age of 60. Aside from sheer numbers, the societal, economic, and environmental factors associated with an unprecedented demographic shift present significant challenges to policymakers and aging network stakeholders.
The presentation will highlight the SDSCF strategies that touch upon community engagement, equity, well-being across the lifespan, and leveraging strategic partnerships.
SDSCF will cite local and national examples of how we will execute a transformation of the senior center from a recreational model to a holistic, dynamic community anchor that will provide services and supports that will positively impact the biopsychosocial factors that influence older adults’ quality of life.
