Description

The breakout sessions will combine research results with solution-focused discussion on the challenges Women of Color (WOC) face in their leadership roles and strategies to meet those challenges. Findings on perspectives on accountability among WOC female nonprofit leaders will be used as the session introduction and a launching pad for discussing the reality of funding disparities for nonprofits led by WOC females and implications both for DEI in nonprofit leadership and the ability of organizations to adequately address community need. The largest part of the session will involve small group discussion with the goal of sharing proven strategies that can contribute to creating a healthier ecosystem to support DEI in nonprofit leadership and greater equity in funding.
