Cecilia provides strategic leadership on critical business priorities and drives innovation to expand Blue Meridian’s work. She explores philanthropic investment opportunities, leads due diligence on potential investees, and manages relationships with current investees, overseeing Blue Meridian’s Place Matters portfolio. 

Cecilia joined the Obama Foundation as Deputy Director of My Brother’s Keeper Alliance (MBKA), co-leading the development of the MBK Framework to Affect Systems Change and certifying 180 cities, towns, and tribal nations in the MBK Network. She also led a 50-member team to plan and execute MBK Rising! Previously, she served five years as President and CEO of the Miami Children’s Initiative, implementing a place-based cradle-to-career strategy in Liberty City, Miami. 

Cecilia also held leadership roles at National Academic Educational Partners and Breakthrough Miami, supporting educational access and success for under-resourced students. She earned a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College, a BA in Sociology from Boston College, and is a National Urban Fellow.
