Kamal Maruf, Managing Director, is a member of the BlackRock Private Equity Partners ("PEP") group within Private Financing Solutions ("PFS"). He is responsible for leading private equity direct and fund investments.

Prior to joining BlackRock in 2010, Mr. Maruf was previously in investment banking with Credit Suisse where he provided financing and M&A advisory services to industrial companies. Mr. Maruf began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers focusing on consumer and industrial clients.

Mr. Maruf earned a B.S. in Accounting and a Minor in Information Systems from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and an MBA degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
